Dispatch from Miami: Creative Capital Artists at the Fairs

Brian Knep‘s Creative Capital-supported project, the interactive floor projection Healing, is installed at SEVEN, co-presented by Ronald Feldman Fine Arts and Creative Capital.

Creative Capital hosted a family-style brunch at SEVEN on Friday, December 2 for artists, supporters and friends. Board member Stephen Reily welcomed the group.

On to Art Basel Miami Beach! Cesar Cornejo is premiering his Creative Capital-supported project, Puno Museum of Contemporary Art, in the Art Positions showcase with Galeria Lucia de la Puente. Read our “In Focus” post about this project.


Three Creative Capital grantees are represented at Art Basel Miami Beach by Susanne Vielmetter Gallery: Ruben Ochoa (front), Edgar Arceneaux (right) and Rodney McMillian (back).

Jennie C. Jones has a beautiful installation at Aqua Art with Lawrimore Projects.


Sanford Biggers and Moon Medicine performed at the opening party for Art Basel Miami Beach’s Art Public showcase at Collins Park. The projection is the iconic Cheshire Cat Grin that crops up in much of Biggers’ work.
