Creative Capital Awardees create projects that resonate deeply within communities, harnessing the power of art to shape and reshape narratives, open minds, and generate real and lasting change.
Our support for our awardees underscores how deeply we value artistic expression and the importance of being an artist today. We work with our artists on average for three to five years by helping them build a community of support around their ideas, providing funding at key moments in their projects’ formation, connecting them with deep mentorship and advisory services, and ultimately sharing their projects with the public.
These projects become the films that give you chills, the books you stay up late to read, the moving performances that leave you speechless, the works of art that haunt you, and the innovations that you didn’t know were even possible. It all starts with our unwavering belief in the power of artists and our relentless dedication to making their ideas possible.
