Encura II

Hangar Barcelona in association with Curators’ Network is offering two fully-funded one-month-residencies in Barcelona, Spain. The call is open to all curators and researchers who currently do not live and work in Catalonia. Residents will have the opportunity to research the wider artistic context of Barcelona and Catalonia as well as to establish networks and dialogues with other local and international cultural agents.
Guadalupe Mountains Artist in Residence

The Artist-In-Residence Program offers professional writers, composers, and all visual and performing artists the opportunity to pursue their particular art form while surrounded by the inspiring landscape of the park.
Luxembourg Art Prize

The Luxembourg Art Prize is an annual international competition aiming to discover talents, amateur or professional, regardless of age and nationality. The Prize aims to accelerate the careers of unknown artists by providing them with professional art gallery space, first as part of a group exhibition showcasing the nominees for the Prize and then as a solo exhibition for the winner.
The Bridget Riley Fellowship
Rome, Italy
Deadline: July 19, 2016
The Bridget Riley Fellowship is an new opportunity for artists at an early to mid point in their career, whose work has a significant drawing element, to spend six months in Rome. Fellows will receive a research and travel grant of £1,500/month. Applicants must be of British or Commonwealth nationality, or have been working professionally or studying at postgraduate level for at least the last three years in the UK or Commonwealth.
M+ / Design Trust Research Fellowship

The M+ / Design Trust Research Fellowship supports an original research project investigating issues relating to design and architecture in the Greater Pearl River Delta region, and between the region and other parts of the world. Applications are welcome from individuals of all nationalities whose areas of research are in design, architecture, or a related field.
Instituto Sacatar

The Instituto Sacatar provides unstructured time and an appropriate space for creative individuals to develop new work. The Instituto will work with each artist individually to help them engage, as desired, with the local culture in ways appropriate for that artist. Towards the end of each residency period, artists often present work they have completed during their residency, actively engaging local collaborators and audiences.
360 XOCHI QUETZAL
Chapala, Mexico
Deadline: August 7, 2016
The program, located on the shores of the largest lake in Mexico, provides free housing and food for one writer and one emerging artist for one month. National and international visual artists, photographers, writers, playwrights, new media makers and musicians over the age of 23 are welcome to apply.
A Blade of Grass Fellowship
New York, NY
Deadline: September 19, 2016
A one-year fellowship for individual artists and collectives. Fellowships pair project support of $20,000 with strategic support, field research tools, video documentation, and other tailored resources for socially engaged artists working nationwide. A Blade of Grass supports seven to ten artists or collectives per year, who are selected via an open application process.
